A working Bingham-12 EVA Suit needs an intact suit, helmet, charged EVA battery, oxygen bottle, and CO₂ filter. It automatically adds oxygen and removes CO₂ while sealed. A damaged component, empty bottle, depleted battery, or time needed to pressurize can still leave you gasping.
What the EVA suit actually provides
- A sealed personal atmosphere for vacuum work.
- An onboard oxygen supply and CO₂ filtration.
- A powered light for dark derelicts.
- Better insulation and protection than a pressure suit, but more weight and maintenance.
Where to get and recharge it
The common orange suit can be bought from a Supply Kiosk or obtained more cheaply through the Fixer; variants may appear on derelicts or NPCs. A free Bingham EVA battery charging station is located on OKLG near the salvage/license kiosk area, and batteries or chargers may also appear at supply vendors.
If you are suffocating in an EVA suit
- Move to a safe pressurized compartment before troubleshooting.
- Inspect the suit, helmet, O₂ bottle, battery, and CO₂ filter individually.
- Replace or repair damaged components and swap in a charged battery and filled O₂ bottle.
- After sealing the suit, allow time for the powered suit to fill with oxygen.
Repair and operating limits
Official wiki data lists a screwdriver or drill and a welder as the tools used to repair the suit. The suit must be removed for sleep, hygiene, and suit repair. Wearing it constantly also increases hygiene loss and adds impact risk because of its mass.
